Riot Raffle.

28 Aug

Riot Raffle is one of our favourite responses to the recent trouble on British streets; a community of British crafters who have put together donations of their work for a charity raffle in aid of a good cause.

After witnessing the London Riots and wanting to lend support, Riot Raffle founder Zoe Grant set up the site in aid of Retail Trust, a charity that looks after small businesses and helps them get back on their feet.  Simply buy your tickets through the Just Giving Site to be entered into the prize draw.

From fine art prints to personalised monkey jigsaws, from Rob Ryan to Church Farm Cakes the prizes represent the best of handmade British loveliness. Please give generously. Thank you.

Coming Soon: Living Worlds.

11 Apr

Life's what you make it... We’re pleased to announce that Manchester Museum will be re-opening our famous Mammals Gallery in time for Easter!

Re-named ‘Living Worlds’ to reflect our evolving understanding of nature and the issues that life on Earth faces, the gallery has been subject to massive modernisation and improvements.

To celebrate, the Shop Elves have brought in a whole new range of animal-themed goodies to keep the kids entertained over the long break ahead.

Our Tame Shop Tiger!

No room for a full-sized taxidermied tiger? Why not take home our monster cuddly version instead? (pictured) His name is Pete and the Elves promise that he is easy to care for and fully house trained.

Don’t fancy a tiger? Also in the monster size we have Angus the polar bear, and Steve our red-eyed tree frog. All will be available in the shop from Living World’s grand opening on April 14th.
